Based in East Sussex, Bowler Crab are a small independent theatre company that specialise in Shakespearean performances, casting actors from The National Theatre, BBC, RSC, The Globe, ITV, Channel 4 and film.

 

With frequent haunts around the 1066 area, Bowler Crab produces UK tours as well as repertoire performances for hire. To date the company has produced over 32 Shakespeare tours.

 

Founded in 2013 by Artistic Director Stephen John, the company goal is to complete the Shakespearean canon across a fifty year plan. Bowler Crab is the resident theatre company of both Half House Farm (C16th performance venue in Three Oaks, Hastings) and The Mermaid Inn 

(600-year-old-inn situated in Rye).
